Ceramics
As an architect, seeing the world in three dimensions comes naturally. In spite of this, my paintings and works on paper have remained solidly in the two-dimensional world. The rich world of ceramics has opened up a host of sculptural possibilities and a reconnection with my Portuguese heritage through the centuries’ old techniques of majolica glazing. I often work in collaboration with Master Potter, Ken Sadler, in our Easton Maryland studio.
